Wednesdays 6:00 pm-7:00 PM September 24th- October 22nd $108.00 Enjoy a total-body workout that is extremely effective, easy to follow, and adaptable for all levels of fitness and experience. Sculpt a lean, strong, and healthy physique by using light hand weights and natural body weight. Strength training has numerous benefits, including Improved metabolism, reduced body fat, Increased Lean tissue, improved bone density, and greater balance. Strength training also stimulates the release of endorphins that act as natural pain relievers, elevate mood, and reduce anxiety. For this class: You will need light and heavier hand weights from 2-10lbs. If you have at least one pair of lighter weights (2-3lbs) and one pair of heavier weights(5-10lbs), you will be all set! Thai Yoga Body Work Certification: October 17-19 & 24-26 Friday-Sunday Fridays: 5:00pm-8:00pm Saturday and Sundays 10:00am-5:00pm Thai Yoga Massage is a healing exchange of energy, intention and kindness. This traditional practice has its roots in Thailand and also pulls from classic yoga breathing, energy exchange, and buddhist metta mindfulness. In this course you will learn specific techniques that will enable you to provide the complete total body massage including: feet, legs, hips, back, belly, shoulders, neck, arms, and face. You will learn how to use your body to reduce tension, inflammation and over use injuries. Somatic Yin & Meditation November 22 & 23 December 6 & 7 Indulge in a somatic and meditative experience of passive stretching and subtle movement, which will cultivate a deeper inner awareness, regulate your nervous system, and restore balance to deep connective tissue, ligaments, joints, bones, and fascial networks. Yin is the more passive and receptive energy to its Yang counterpart. While Yang ‘goes out and forces things to happen, A yin approach surrenders and receives what naturally arises. As you continue this practice, you will realize a shift in your mental attitude that is more relaxed, calm, and accepting. This practice rests in the philosophy of the Tao, which is to let things be as they are, do less, and enjoy more of what is already present. Space is provided for journaling and art to record what arises from the layers of consciousness and wisdom that exist within. This class provides an entry level experience of Somatic Yoga Therapy and its healing benefits. For this class, gather pillows, blankets, and your favorite yoga props.
